The Noble View Outdoor Center offers access to variety of outdoor activities including hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
Relax in one of our fully updated, dog friendly self-service cottages where guests are responsible for preparing their own meals. Cabins have electricity and lighting. There is no running water or sinks in the cabins. The cabins share a central campfire ring and firewood is included. Central parking is a short walk from the cabins and campsites are accessible by foot along gravel paths. Mattresses are provided, however guests should bring their own pillows and linen/sleeping bags. Dog friendly campsites with a shared campfire ring are available in a gently wooded area and are a short walk away for those wishing to sleep under the stars.

Accessibility
North and Double Cottages both have ramps and the first floors are accessible, each has a first-floor accessible bedroom with two twin beds. The central bath house is accessible. Gravel paths connect the parking area to the cabins and bathhouse.
Nearby Trails
Malcolm B. Ross Forest Memorial Circuit (Easy): This mostly-flat walk takes hikers on a tour of the nearby Malcolm B. Ross Memorial Forest. This hike starts at North Cottage, connecting you to the Border Trail — head west for 0.6 mile until you reach the Entrance Road, then turn left until you reconnect to the Mac Ross Trail. Take the Mac Ross Trail back to the center of camp. Estimated hike time is 50 minutes round trip.
Charcoal Kiln Trail to Lookout and the Lodges (Moderate): This hike takes between 3.5 and 4 hours to complete, with spur trails to some of the most popular views at the camp. Starting at the farmhouse, follow Laurel Lane for 0.8 mile, then turn left onto Charcoal Kiln Trail. Approximately 0.2 mile in you will spot a side trail on your right to reach the Lookout, a rocky outcropping with a view high above Little River Gorge. The large standpipe in the western view is the surge tank for the hydro-electric plant operated by water released from Cobble Mountain Reservoir. Backtrack to Charcoal Kiln Trail and continue on to The Ledges, another rocky outcropping above Little River Gorge, with good views including a view of “980”, the steep hill on the other side of the river. Return to camp the way you came.
Keystone Arch Bridges Trail (Strenuous): This 5-mile round trip hike takes you past Western Massachusetts’ famed stone arch bridges, built in 1840 as part of a railway system through Massachusetts to Albany, NY. Park at the trailhead on Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, just 18 miles north of Noble View, and follow the trail out and back, with plenty of time to stop and enjoy the views. This trail is accessible year-round but be careful of a few steep drop offs along the trail. Estimated hike time is 5 hours.
Weather
The right clothing and gear are essential in the unpredictable weather of the Northeast’s mountains. Even if it feels like summer in the valleys, it can be cold and winter-like on the high peaks. Be prepared for severe weather regardless of season, dress in layers (including synthetic or wool base and insulating layers, and a windproof/waterproof outer shell), eat high energy foods, and stay hydrated.
